The Ministry of Gloria Dei:
The Baptismal Driven Life… Baptized in Christ Jesus we commit ourselves to:
- live among God's faithful people,
- to hear the word of God and share in the Lord's supper,
- to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed,
- to serve all people, following the example of Jesus,
- and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
We serve by bringing food donations for two local food pantries. Our Communion Caregivers take the blessed Sacrament to our homebound members. We lead worship at a local homeless shelter and have
brought homeless guests to our worship and shared in a potluck following worship.We are a Covenant Congregation with Bread for the World and write to Congress advocating legislation that changes systems to provide help and independence for the hungry and impoverished.
We join our Churchwide – ELCA - sisters and brothers in the Hunger Appeal and work with local churches in the annual CROP WALK to end Hunger.
We are intentional disciples of Jesus not just members of a congregation!
